At Coinfirm John is responsible for Enterprise Account Sales Globally. His background is 30+ years in Capital Markets starting in the mid 80’s as an Open Outcry trader on the Liffe Exchange in London before moving into electronic trading (DMA) in 2000. He then moved into software sales with a few start up companies before moving to SunGard in 2006 where he spent 10 years selling Enterprise Trading and Risk management systems in Emerging Markets. More recently he has headed up the European sales teams at Lombard Risk and UK Cap Market sales at SoftwareAG. He joined Coinfirm 8 weeks ago and is loving the new Crypto challenge.

Justin Smith

Justin Smith is the project lead and technical architect of Swisscom Blockchain’s SBX distributed cryptoasset exchange. Justin also leads the X Wallet project; the X Wallet is an iOS interface for the privacy-focused cryptocurrency Monero. Justin first started building cryptofinance solutions when he added Bitcoin as a payment method for his e-commerce startup in 2013. He has over a decade of professional experience, working for firms including John Deere, Caterpillar, and Wolfram Research.

Kamal Youssefi

He has extensive experience in the design and implementation of IT projects. Kamal has well-grounded and deep knowledge in distributed ledger technologies as well as is financial cryptography. His previous projects at Ernst & Young dealt with re-designing and extending legacy systems using emerging technologies and applying agile methodologies. He brings an international view on the Business, with over 10 years in London, Africa, Asia, and in the Middle East.  Kamal was heading EY Garage Lab in his former position, and has consistently led teams to deliver value with emerging technologies.

At his current position, Kamal is leading Enterprise Blockchain covering the Banking Sector and Blockchain as a Service within Swisscom Blockchain. He is also collaborating with Sovereign institutes as well as with Governmental Bodies to implement national initiatives, provide support to identify opportunities to generate value with blockchain including deployment in the MENA region and ensure effective implementation of blockchain use cases and solutions, from strategic suggestions to road map, deployment, hosting, testing, operation and quality assurance.

In his role reporting to the CEO, Fadi heads the new ICT business unit at Omantel, launched in 2016. This business line delivers on Omantel’s v3.0 vision to lead the country’s digital transformation efforts via integrated technology solutions delivered seamlessly, as a service. This scope includes IoT, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity and disaster recovery amongst other fast paced technologies.

His career spans Nortel and Alcatel in Canada before joining a string of
start-ups across the Silicon Valley in California, culminating in a long track record in software, wireless, security and virtualization. Prior to moving to Oman, Fadi served as the lead strategic business development executive at Qatar’s and one of the GCC’s largest ICT service providers.

Fadi has a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from University of Alberta, Masters in Engineering Management from an Jose State and graduated top of the Executive MBA class from HEC Paris.
